SPRING 2024 Units of study include: basic theatre vocabulary, actor's body, pantomime, actor's voice, characterization/Laban efforts, script analysis, scene work, theatre history (Ancient Greek and Ancient Rome), Greek chorus inspired performance, monologues, improvisation
Please have a notebook and pen or pencil each day for class. Class will include vocal and physical warm-ups on certain days so be prepared to be up and moving. Assignments will be posted in Canvas. Theatre Handbook - class expectations, grading, Booster information, etc. Grading 50% Major Assignments 40% Minor Assignments 10% First-Time Practice
Students are required to see one live play or musical per quarter and complete a play analysis on that performance.
The spring musical (April) or theatre ensemble play (May) covers the 4th quarter requirement for those not involved in show week.
